Among the key findings:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><strong>The government had been warned of fire risks 25 years before the disaster.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Fire tests had already revealed the dangers of the cladding used.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Despite these warnings, the housing department in the 2010 coalition government was \u2018poorly run\u2019 and failed to address safety risks.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Privatisation of a key regulatory body, The Building Research Establishment (BRE), exacerbated the problem.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Crucial dangers of the cladding fire risks were deliberately concealed from the market and the BPA, a private certification company responsible for ensuring the construction industry stays up to date with regulations and standards.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>The council displayed an alarming level of indifference to safety concerns.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>A culture of blame-shifting further stalled action.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>London Fire Brigade leadership failed to adequately prepare their teams for such a crisis.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Ultimately, the disaster was the result of &#8216;decades of failure.&#8217;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1b3b075 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default rt-parallax-bg-no\" data-id=\"1b3b075\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-9b526b9\" data-id=\"9b526b9\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f93b9d6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f93b9d6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>We have a duty of care to our customers, and their safety is our top priority. As Fire Safety specialists, it\u2019s our responsibility not only to stay up-to-date with legislation but also to encourage the companies we work with to invest in and implement a strong fire safety strategy.<\/p><p>Despite significant updates to <a href=\"https:\/\/globalfacilities.co.uk\/service\/certified-fire-door-inspection-services\/\">fire safety<\/a> laws following the Grenfell tragedy, we continue to encounter businesses that don\u2019t take it seriously. We hope this inquiry serves as a strict push to the government, regulatory bodies, building managers and everyone else this affects about the critical importance of fire safety and the need to address issues without delay.<\/p><p>The tragic loss of life in the Grenfell Tower fire still shocks and saddens us, and meaningful change must come from this devastation.
